A Roman Red Jasper Intaglio of Diana and Stag, Roman Imperial Period, ca. 1st - 3rd century CE

Of bright red jasper, depicting the goddess of the hunt wearing a stola facing right, the stag facing her with prominent antlers, standing on a ground line.

Dimensions: Length: 9/16 inch (1.43 cm)

Condition: Intact and in very good condition.

Provenance: Private Washington DC collection, acquired in the 1980s.
