Pale blue bell bodied unguentarium; wide rim folded up and flattened. Superb iridescence. Concave bas, a very fine piece.

Condition: The vessel is in excellent condition. There is rich iridescence throughout the inner and outer surfaces along with accretions. No apparent sign of damage.

Dimensions:   Height: 8 inches (20.5 cm)

Provenance: Forming part of the James Stephan collection, assembled in  the middle east during the 1950's to early 1960's and then by descent.  Dr. Stephan was an archaologist excavating in the Anatolian region of Turkey during this time and acquired his collection from dealers and villagers throughout the region. Exhibited:  Workhouse Art Center, Virginia, Glass National 2016, October, 2016- January 2017.
