The obverse depicts a portrait of Herakles facing right, wearing the famed lion skin headdress. The reverse depicts the divine Zeus seated on a throne facing left, one leg crossed behind the other, an eagle perched in his outstretched right hand, a long scepter in his left, and a torch underneath, ANAPOYAPOY (of Alexander) to the right.  Set in a circular 18K gold pendant.

Dimensions: Coin diameter: 3.2 cm (1.25 inches), pendant length: 4.2 cm (1.65 inches)

Condition: Looped at the top for suspension, intact and in excellent condition overall.

Provenance: J.L. private collection, Texas, acquired from the NY trade in the early 1990s.
