A Roman Crystal Pendant, ca. 1st century CE

The ancients thought rain-water and pure snow were essential for the formation of quartz crystal. Even up to the middle ages it was thought to be fossilized ice.  Considered the most powerful healing stone, able to work on any condition, it has been called the "Universal Crystal" because of its many uses. 

Mined by the Romans then hand-carved and finished almost 1800 years ago, this crystal drop is beneficial for manifesting, healing, meditation, protection, and channeling.

Set as a pendant on a 20" sterling silver chain.

Condition:  Expected signs of wear that do not detract, intact and in very good condition overall.  A lovely example.
