A pair of Egyptian Gold Earrings, Roman Period, ca. 1st Century BCE- 2nd Century CE

Characteristic of the eastern part of the Roman Empire, these slender gold earrings are formed from rolled sheet gold that curves to form an "S" shape, the tail hooking back to the center and decorated with contrasting green and white glass beads designed to imitate pearls.
